UFO caught on video over Rome by professional photographer

A professional photographer was filming an airliner from the patio of his home on the outskirts of Rome when he caught something on video he cannot explain. He did not see the object as he was filming, but upon review of the footage, a strange object can be seen for a couple of seconds. Local UFO researchers are just as baffled as the witness.

This UFO sighting has been covered in Italian news, and was investigated by the Mediterranean UFO Center (C.UFO.M). The name of the witness has been withheld.

According to C.UFO.M, the unnamed witness is a professional photographer who specializes in taking photographs of actors, singers, and other important people. On April 12, 2015, at his home on the outskirts of Rome, the photographer was filming an airliner using his Panasonic Lumix camera with a 60x zoom lens.

Upon review of the video, the photographer noticed a strange object pop onto the screen for a short period of time.

C.UFO.M examined the video to help determine what the object is. In their analysis, posted on their website, the investigator, Angelo Maggioni, first determined that the object was not a bird. He says the object is too high, and that the UFO does not look like other birds that have been captured in images.

Maggioni also ruled out a balloon. Again, he felt the object was too high, and he notes that the object appears to have moving lights on it. He notes that there could be some reflections, but that the sun is to the left and not all of the reflections appear to be to the left.

In the end, Maggioni has no explanation. He feels it is a self luminescent object that, to him, remains a UFO.

Maggioni calculated the height of the object by concluding that the UFO was in focus and so it must be about the same distance as the airliner. He estimates it is 13,000 meters, or over 40,000 feet high. That would be around the same altitude as the airliner. Although, the still images look fuzzy and out of focus to me.

Also, as the camera pans to keep track of the airliner, the UFO flashes by. This could be because the UFO is stationary, or moving slowly, and much lower than the airliner.

As for the UFO’s lights, if the object is an odd-shaped, or misshapen, silver balloon that is spinning, reflections would change rapidly and look to be in odd places. When C.UFO.M zooms in on the object in their video (seen at the top of this story), the object does look disc-shaped. And we all know what is disc-shaped, that’s right, a balloon. Oh yeah, UFOs too.

The object is so small and far away that even though the photographer used a good camera and zoom lens, it is hard to know exactly what he caught on camera. Is this some sort of craft with lights on it, a mere balloon, or do you have another theory? Let us know below.

Google Earth Uncovers UFO in Australia

A man casually browsing Google Earth to ‘check out the world’ has come across a strange looking flying object along the coast of Victoria, Australia.

Describing what he found as “a flying disk,” YouTube user Scott Mcmahon uploaded a video of his findings to the site.

Wading in on the debate of whether UFOs are real and if this is in fact a record of one in Australia, Scott C Waring of UFO Sightings Daily said there was an 85 per cent chance it was a UFO in a post on his site.

Revealing the coordinates on Google Earth as 38°40’30.16″S 145°39’2.57″E he outlined the three indications that made it likely that the object was in fact a UFO.

Basing his points on Area S4 scientist Bob Lazar’s expertise, the first telltale sign is the angle at which the object is titled. This is a typical way UFO discs move.

Secondly, Waring highlighted in his blog post the distortion field surrounding the UFO. He explained that Lazar has identified this distortion as a result of an onboard propulsion system.

The final reason is the waveguide at the top centre of the UFO, which he describes as a key characteristic of UFOs.

The proclaimed UFOlogist Waring advised that anyone wanting more information on how to identify UFOs should research Bob Lazar and take a look at some of his sketchings, but exclaimed the discovery as an “extraordinary catch”.

Waring said that this was the first up close image of a UFO captured in Australia for quite some time, indicating that there had been previous recent sightings.

According to Mcmahon’s YouTube, the object cannot be a plane, blimp, bird or insect, or something stuck to the camera, which makes you question what else could it be apart from a UFO?

World's 'biggest sinkhole' baffles scientists sparking rumour of crashed UFO site

A mysterious gigantic sinkhole has appeared in Russia - and nobody knows where it came from or how deep it is.

It opened up in the peninsula of Yamal, a place which locals call the 'end of the world'.

At 80 metres wide, the sinkhole is believed to be the biggest ever spotted in the country and could be one of the deepest ever recorded in the world.

Speculation of what has caused the phenomenon include rumours of a crashed UFO, a meteorite hitting the earth, global warming or a sinkhole caused by collapsing rock.

But experts are confident that there is an scientific explanation for the crater, which is large enough to fit several Mi-8 helicopters into it.

An expedition has been organised by the Yamal authorities, and will include two experts from the Centre for the Study of the Artic and one from Cryosphere Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

They plan to take samples of soil, air and water from the scene and will be accompanied by a specialist from the Emergencies Ministry.

A spokesman for the ministry's Yamal branch ruled out a meteorite but said it was too early to say what cause the gigantic hole in the earth.

"We can definitely say that it is not a meteorite. No details yet," said a spokesman to the Siberian Times. 

The footage was captured by pilots working for a gas company in the area and shows a deep tunnel structure with soil around the hole that looks like it has been thrown out of it.

Originally thought to be a fake, the hole has allegedly been established as a real phenomenon and is thought to have been formed around two years ago.

This is not the first time the phenomenon has happened, take at some other sinkholes here.

It's also not the first strange thing to happen in Siberia this week - recently hailstones the size of golf balls forced sunbathers to run for their lives.

10,000-year-old rock paintings depicting aliens and UFOs found in Chhattisgarh

CHARAMA (Chhattisgarh): Chhattisgarh state department of archaeology and culture plans to seek help from Nasa and Isro for research on 10,000-year-old rock paintings depicting aliens and UFOs in Charama region in Kanker district in tribal Bastar region. 

According to archaeologist JR Bhagat, these paintings have depicted aliens like those shown in Hollywood and Bollywood flicks. Located about 130km from Raipur, the caves come under village Chandeli and Gotitola. 

"The findings suggest that humans in prehistoric times may have seen or imagined beings from other planets which still create curiosity among people and researchers. Extensive research is needed for further findings. Chhattisgarh presently doesn't have any such expert who could give clarity on the subject," Bhagat told TOI.

There are several beliefs among locals in these villages. While few worship the paintings, others narrate stories they have heard from ancestors about "rohela people" — the small sized ones — who used to land from sky in a round shaped flying object and take away one or two persons of village who never returned. 

"The paintings are done in natural colours that have hardly faded despite the years. The strangely carved figures are seen holding weapon-like objects and do not have clear features. Specially, the nose and mouth are missing. In few pictures, they are even shown wearing space suits. We can't refute possibility of imagination by prehistoric men but humans usually fancy such things," the archaeologist said.

He added that it is a co-incidence that such ancient images appear to have sharp resemblance to UFOs shown in alien movies. "The fan-like antenna and three legs of vehicle's stand clearly show a similarity to UFO type craft," he said. 

Other archaeologists would also be consulted for further verification.

Photos showing unidentified lights captured by a couple’s trail camera in Jackson County, Mississippi made considerable headlines on Friday, April 4, and continue to make headlines. Since then, a couple possible explanations have been offered.

The most mysterious photo shows a deer in the foreground, with two apparently aerial lights in the background. The owners of the camera originally pointed out that the lights look like a car’s headlights, but there is reportedly no road in the direction of the lights. The lights also appear to be well off the ground.

Some have suggested that the lights are, indeed, from a vehicle. OpenMinds.tv commenter Mac states, “Sorry but the ‘UFO’ is just a tall pick-up truck with spot lights on the roll bar. A very common thing in the rural South . . . Some guys were out that night looking to poach some deer. If there had been a buck in that herd of does there wouldn’t have been any mystery whatsoever. Spotlighting deer is illegal so nobody is going to come forward. Show that photo to a game warden and he’ll know exactly what it is.”

But as the Daily Star adds, “There were apparently no [tire] marks in the field and there is no road nearby.”

Another theory that has been offered by some is more likely the explanation for the mysterious lights. OpenMinds.tv commenter Stephane explains:


I work in animation and special effects, and I’m a big photo geek. I’ve watched carefully the photos of these supposed UFO lights. It seems to me that these lights are actually the reflections of the deer’s eyes in the lens of the camera. You can see this aberration in many photos and films where the bright lights produce and mirrored ghost picture in the lens. The weird shape appearing is easily recognizable as what some water on the lens can produce. And finally, the light projected on the deer and the ground, to me is just the flash of the other infrared camera. If you compare this photo with the other one with the deer facing the camera, you’ll notice that he’s in the same position.
As much as I believe in UFOs, I think this case is only a misinterpretation of lens flares and reflections.
